The Tiger Truck Stop, the infamous gas station in Gross Tete, Louisiana, held Tony - an endangered Siberian-Bengal tiger - from the age of 6-months until his death at the age of 17 in 2017. In North America, he was replaced by the late announcer Lee Marshall, who currently maintains the role until he died of cancer in Apat the age of 64. The longtime voice of Tony, Thurl Ravenscroft, died in at the age of 91. Marshall began voicing the Kellogg's Frosted Flakes mascot in 1999, filling in for the original actor, Thurl Ravenscroft.

His son, Jason VanBorssum, tells the Los Angeles Times that Marshall died of esophageal cancer on April 26 at a Santa Monica hospital. Furthermore, the registration and classification was under food products. The feline was federally registered as Kellogg's Frosted Flakes trademark. The Tiger was used as a cartoon character featured on every box of Kellogg's Frosted Flakes. Tony the Tiger began his trademark debut with Kellogg in 1952.
